On Call producer Lindsey Meyers and Medical Editor Dr. Rick Holm will discuss the issue with area medical experts. Scheduled guests include Dr. Galen Vonk from the North Central Heart Institute and Dr. Charles O'Brien with the Sioux Valley Clinic Heart Partners.
"Congestive heart failure is a serious condition with no cure. We'll answer patients' questions and tell them about possible treatment options," Meyers said. "We'll tell viewers about a program in South Dakota which is helping heart failure patients cut down on their hospital visits. We'll also give tips on eating a more heart-healthy diet. And we'll talk to one patient who is working with her doctor to live a full life, despite her heart failure."
