Lois Waunetta (Brinkman) Klauzer, 70, of Willows, CA, died Feb. 11, 2004, at her home of ovarian cancer.

A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 at the Willows Eagle's Hall in Willows.
She was born in Beresford to Theodore and Leolia Brinkman on March 7, 1933. In 1969, she moved to Willows where she was active in the Eagles Auxiliary and Elk's Ladies. She had many careers over the years, and at 50 she became a beautician and owned a home salon for over 12 years.
She was always busy doing some craft or another, and also loved flowers and loved to garden. She shared her vegetables with her many neighbors and friends in the community. She was very proud of her family and loved her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her companion, Dean Hall of Willows; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jeff Kanner of Sacramento, CA; daughter, Connie Rogers of Missouri; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Linda McCluskey of Mississippi; brothers, Robert Brinkman of Washington State and Richard Brinkman of Utah; brother-in-law, Eugene Hult of South Dakota; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Ralph Osmanson, 70, of Vermillion, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004 at his residence.
There will be no services. The Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion is handling the arrangements.
Shirley Williams, 65, of Vermillion, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 at her home.
Her funeral was held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at the First Baptist Church, Vermillion, with the Rev. Shelley Aakre officiating.
Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Lucille Marie Schmid, 79, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004 at Morningside Manor, Alcester, SD. She was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Hartington, NE to Walter and Catherine Marie (Smith) Williams.
Mrs. Schmid married Lyle Norvin Schmid on Nov. 11, 1946 in Vermillion, SD. He died Oct. 21, 1991. She lived in Vermillion for 64 years before moving to Alcester in 1994. She worked many years at Newberry Department Store. Mrs. Schmid enjoyed being around her family and friends, gardening and was a great fisherwoman. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Vermillion, and in the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Roger) Hughes of Happy Jack, AZ, Linda Ustad (Darrel) Waters of Harrisburg, SD, and Judy (Larry) Walton of Ainsworth, NE; two brothers, Bob (Helen) Williams and Ken (Linda) Williams, both of Sioux City, IA; two sisters, Jenice (Arley) Suggett of Sioux City, IA, and June (Ken) Shadbolt of Portland, OR; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her mother Julia Williams, husband Lyle Schmid, brother Lester Williams, sister Joan Middleswart, granddaughters Katherine Jo Hughes and Leala Mae Ustad.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, 3 to 7 p.m. at Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion. A prayer service will be Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 20, 10:30 a.m. at Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion, with Rev. Richard Luttman officiating. Burial will be in BluffView Cemetery, Vermillion.
