Rounds recognizes individuals with disabilities

Rounds recognizes individuals with disabilities Gov. Mike Rounds has announced that individuals and employers will be honored for their contributions to the rehabilitation and employment of South Dakotans with disabilities at the Governor's Employment of People with Disabilities Award Luncheon on Tuesday, March 9, at 11:45 a.m. at the Ramkota Inn River Center in Pierre.

This year's recipients are: Joel Niemeyer of Sioux Falls, Outstanding Employee With a Disability; David Miller of Sioux Falls, Outstanding Citizen With a Disability; Diane Hudelson of Sioux Falls, Outstanding Public Personnel Award; City of Sioux Falls, Outstanding Public Employer; Citibank South Dakota, Sioux Falls, Outstanding Private Employer with more than 100 employees; Five Counties Nursing Home, Lemmon, Outstanding Private Employer with under 100 employees; and Robert J. Kean of Pierre, Distinguished Service Award.

The awards luncheon is co-sponsored by the Governor's Advisory Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, the Board of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Department of Human Services.
