Warriorettes drop last regular game to Menno by Nicole Mosberger Warriorettes dropped their last regular season game to Menno, Feb. 19.

The night was also senior night. It would be seniors, Chelsa Bohlmann, Kim Henriksen, Nikki Johnston, and Lindsay Nelson's last run on their own wood floor.

The first quarter the Warriorettes were losing by 3 points. The second quarter the game was tough and both teams continued to battle for a win, tied up 26-26 at half time. Even though the Warriorettes put up a good fight they lost their game with a final score of 53-67.

The high scorers for the game were Nikki Johnston with 14, Kim Henriksen with 10 and Lindsay Nelson with 6 points. Kim Henriksen led other stats with four steals, and six rebounds.

Menno's final regular season record was 18-1 and ranked

third in the state. Wakonda Warriorettes' final regular season record was 12-7. They finish 5-2 in the conference.

On Friday, Feb. 27 the girls' district championship will be held in Centerville at 7:30 p.m. The Warriorettes will enter districts as seed two.

Coach Huber's overall outlook of the season was, "The hard work in the off-season has paid off. These girls deserve any success that comes to them. I am proud of our overall play so far this year."
