Warriorettes win again

Warriorettes win again by Nicole Mosberger Wakonda Warriorettes came out with a win against the Viborg Lady Vikings in Tri-Valley Conference action on Feb. 5.

Coming out on fire in the first quarter, the Warriorettes blew the Lady Vikings out of the water with a score of 21-3. The Warriorettes managed to stay ahead of the Lady Vikings the whole game. The final score was 54-43.

The top scorer for this game was Nikki Johnston with 15 points. Following Johnston with points was Kim Henriksen with 13 and Lindsay Nelson with 11.

Johnston, Ashley Anderson, and Henriksen also contributed to rebounds. Anderson had a remarkable 11 rebounds, followed by Johnston with nine, and Henriksen with six.

In addition Anderson, Nelson, and Chelsa Bohlmann helped out with assists and steals. Bohlmann had three assists and five steals. Nelson also added three assists and four steals and Anderson contributed two assists and four steals.

The junior varsity also won against the Lady Vikings after overtime, 35-33.

The two top scorers in the game were Kelli Morrison and Jessica Peterson each with 7 points, and Kelly Johnston adding 6 to the total score.

Peterson and Emily Ganschow had four steals each and Morrison and Danielle Morris also contributed two steals each.

Tiffany Ganschow led rebounds with eight and Emily Ganschow followed with seven.
