World Day of Prayer March 5 "In Faith, Women Shape the Future," this year's World Day of Prayer theme, reminds us that the actions of women have shaped our future. The WDP Committee of Panama welcomes us to a day of prayer with other women and families around the world.
Faith-filled prayer opens our eyes, extends our horizons and affirms our hopes and joys. It sheds light into the darkness of our fears, our sorrows, our shame and our pride. The faith-filled perspective of women is shaping the future of the world. The future is bright despite the immensity of the challenge. Join Panamanian women and us for World Day of Prayer.
The service will be held on Friday, March 5 at 9:30 a.m. at Bergen Lutheran Church, rural Meckling.
Invite your friends, families and communities of faith to join the women of Panama in prayer and song to support women's ecumenical ministries toward peace and justice. An offering to the ongoing work of CWU (the national committee of World Day of Prayer in the United States) is taken. Portions of your offering are designated toward women's projects both internationally and in the U.S. as well as to support the ongoing work of the World Day of Prayer International Committee that works with women around the world to prepare worship materials and resources.
