Free business workshops available in Vermillion USF Center for Women Business Institute and Augustana College, in partnership with DIAL Learning Communities, will offer eight small business workshops utilizing the Digital Dakota Network (DDN).�
These workshops, made possible by a grant from the Qwest Foundation, are designed to provide essential information and tools to guide new and growing South Dakota businesses in their development process.
Workshops are planned to originate in Sioux Falls, and will be offered in Belle Fourche, Rapid City, Pierre, Chamberlain, Vermillion and Mission.� Each location has a DDN studio where participants may attend and participate via the interactive network.�
Sioux Falls workshops will be held at Southeast Technical Institute.�Workshops are free, but participants are asked to pre-register. Participants may purchase the "Business Sense Workshop" kit, containing the course materials, for $10.
Participants may attend one, several or all workshops.� Those attending all eight workshops receive a certificate of completion.
Workshops will be presented on Thursday nights from 6:30 until 9 p.m.

* March 11: "Your Vision and Your Business Plan."
* March 18: "Legal Issues."
* March 25: "Operations and Administration."
* April 1:�"Technology and Communications."
* April 8 and 15: "Marketing."
* April 22:�"Money (Accounting and Loans)."
* April 29:�"Customer Service."
By developing small businesses that meet the needs of the state's markets, South Dakotans can contribute to the economic vitality of their communities, while they pursue a more secure financial future for themselves and their families.� These workshops are designed to achieve that goal.
