Legion convention is March 29

Legion convention is March 29 Legionnaires from BonHomme, Charles Mix, Clay, Douglas, Hutchinson and Yankton counties will gather Monday, March 29, at Tripp for the annual District 7 Spring Convention of the South Dakota American Legion.

The Legion business session will begin at 8 p.m. in the American Legion Post Home.

The session will be preceded by a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by a banquet at 7 p.m. in the American Legion Post Home.

Participants will elect county commanders and vice commanders in the district for one-year terms.

The session will also feature post reports, post Americanism reports, recognition of the District Legionnaire of the Year and an address by State American Legion Commander Wayne Vetter of Cresbard.
