Renken honored by Head Start

Renken honored by Head Start Tim Renken of Akron, IA was recently honored in Huron at the SD AEYC/Head Start Conference as the South Dakota Head Start Parent of the Year. Tim and his wife Kim and their children, Hannah, Heidi, and Harbor were present for Renken's award presentation. The couple have been very active in the USD Early Head Start/Head Start program. They have been responsible for the development of the Head Start male involvement group in Canton and are representatives on the policy council and their area parent groups. He was chosen for his dedication and fine work from many candidates throughout the Early Head Start/Head Start programs in South Dakota.
