Boys' tennis team suffers 8-1 loss to S.F. Washington team by Jim Prosser The Tanager boys' tennis team faced another worthy opponent in the high school ranks as they suffered an 8-1 loss to the Sioux Falls Washington varsity last Thursday, April 22 in a dual at the SF Washington courts. Following are the scoring results:

Singles: Matt Bittner (W) def. Jack Higgins 6-2, 6-1; Geng Wang (V) def. Cade Smith 6-4, 6-3; Adam Cutler (W) def. Dan Day 6-1, 2-6, 10-8 ; Mik Stavig (W) def. Steve Foltz 6-2, 6-1; Justin Wehde (W) def. Kashir Arogyaswamy 6-3, 6-1; and Alex Person (W) def. Harsh Patel 6-0, 6-2.

Doubles: Bittner/Smith def. Higgins/Wang 6-4, 6-2; Cutler/ Stavig def. Day/Stoltz 7-6 (8-6), 6-4; and Wehde/Dylan O'Donnell def. Arogyaswamy/Patel 4-6, 6-3, 10-7.

JV Singles: Andrew Pfeifer (W) def. Eric Hesla 8-1; Dylan O'Donnell (W) def. Chris Jensen 8-3; Scott Scheller (W) def. Colin Eilts 8-0; Mark Magidon (W) def. Eric Hesla 8-3; Ryan Miller (W) def. Chris Jensen 8-5.

There were no JV doubles matches.
