Campbell, Prosser to play for Wayne State The Wayne State College (Wayne, NE) football team signed 11 more student-athletes to national letters of intent bringing their 2004 recruiting class to 34 players. Wayne State recorded a 3-8 overall record and were 2-6 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
B.J. Campbell, a 6'0" 190 pound defensive back from Vermillion, has signed to become a Wildcat. Campbell was a three-sport athlete at Vermillion High School lettering in football, baseball, and track.
Campbell earned Big 8 All-Conference honors both as a junior and senior. He helped to lead his team to a 7-3 record as a junior and senior. Campbell tallied 873 total yards of offense to go along with 11 touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, he recorded 50 tackles, five for a loss, eight pass break-ups, and two interceptions as a senior.
Rounding out the recruiting class is Collin Prosser, also of Vermillion.
