Clay RWS selects education grant recipients The Clay Rural Water System Board of Directors has announced that Noah Yaeger of Akron, IA and Carly Stucky of Volin have been selected as recipients of the Clay RWS Educational Grant Program.
Each will receive a $500 grant to assist with their college education for the 2004-05 academic year. This is the 12th year of the program for members of the water system.
Yaeger will graduate from Alcester-Hudson High School this spring. He is the son of Greg and Josephine Yaeger of rural Akron.
Stucky will graduate from Gayville-Volin High School this spring. She plans to attend South Dakota State University this fall and major in nursing and psychology. She is the daughter of Terry and Sally Stucky of Volin.
The Clay Rural Water System is a member-owned, non-profit corporation headquartered east of Wakonda. Operational since 1979, the water system annually distributes over 160 million gallons of water to 1,600 farms, homes and businesses in parts of five counties in southeast South Dakota.
