Holoch, Redlin receive honors Zachary Holoch and Kathleen Redlin were announced as the March Vermillion High School Students of the Month. These two seniors will receive a $100 scholarship from First National Bank in Vermillion for their achievements.
Holoch "is an asset to the choral program. He works hard and is looked up to by the underclassmen," according to his faculty endorsement. He plans to attend Emery-Riddle Aeronautical University and will study aeronautical science.
His plethora of activities include Natural Helpers, Math Club, choir, band, Student Council, debate, football and German Club. He also has found time to volunteer in his church, with the Community Theatre, and with the Clay County Fair. His parents are Connie and Duane Holoch.
Redlin's been involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, basketball, Student Congress, track, debate, drama and soccer. Her honors include the Editor of the Year Award, All-State Journalist and Outstanding Actress.
Her recommendation noted that she "is a very unique individual. She is passionate about causes she believes in." She plans to attend Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, and her parents are Greg and RoAnn Redlin.
