Mark calendars for bike ride Bike riders across Siouxland will want�to mark�their calendars for Saturday, Aug. 21, as that is day the annual Heritage Days bike ride will be held.�� The route includes 5, 15,23, 36 and 45 miles plus routes, all on� blacktop.�Registration is available by e-mailing jgille@iw.net�or calling 1-605-421-5050�for more information.
The bike ride is a fund raiser for Big Friends-Little Friends, Inc., a local mentoring program that works with youth age 5-17 in Clay and Union counties.
The organization is also considering a 5K and 10K walk.
Big Friends-Little Friends, Inc. is seeking an organization that is willing to help with the events, and will donate $100 to their groups if they can provide a minimum of 10 people to help with the ride/walk.
