Merchants pass tobacco sting Vermillion merchants recently passed a tobacco sting, according to Clay County State's Attorney Tami Bern.
A controlled cigarette buy project was recently employed in Clay County under the direction of the S.D. Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Bern stated in a news release.
"All of our merchants passed the sting and refused to sell to the youth," she said.
The businesses where the sting was employed are: Toby's, Pump N Pak, First Choice Pharmacy, Jones' Foods, Casey's General Store, Bob's Amoco, Pump N Stuff, Coastal, Coyote Convenience, Shop EZ and Freedom.
