Tanager golfers end regular '04 season against Yankton by Jim Prosser In a match played Friday, May 14 the Tanagers used a dual in preparation for the regional tournament on Monday, May 17 at Sisseton.
The Tanagers faced the Gazelles in an 18-hole competition at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion. Both teams were shorthanded due to some conflicts. However, varsity and JV team scores were determined by normal routines.
Medalist with a score of 82 was Vermillion's Jackie Thomas. Anna Isaacson placed second with 84, followed by Sarah Christopherson � 99, Chelsea Gauer � 102, and Sara Mayer � 113.
Yankton scorers were: Leslie Ailts � 99, Katie Paulson � 101, Hope Leader � 109, Tara VanEssen � 119, and Sara Hothstein � 126.
Varsity scores: Tanagers � 367; Gazelles � 428.
In the JV section, Vermillion: Lauren Higgins � medalist 96; Clare Bucklin � 117; Melanie Porter � 124; and Kelsey Osborne � 127. Yankton JV: Natalie Gross � 125; Liz Hoffman � 126; Addi Schurrer � 126; Melaney Rockne � 133; and Ronda Kuchera � 134.
