Galbavy has helped lead the Lennox boys' track and field team to consecutive Class A track and field titles. In May, he won two individual events and anchored the Lennox Sprint Medley squad to a state title. For the second straight year, Galbavy won the 1,600 meter run, clocking a 4:23.43. He also anchored the winning sprint medley which finished in 3:40.85.
A year ago, Galbavy was also a key member of the state champion Lennox Orioles. At the 2003 state A meet, he won the 1,600 meter run in 4:31.85 and finished second in the 3,200 meter run with a time of 10:07.67.
Galbavy, who finished second (16:20.29) at the South Dakota State Class A Cross Country Meet in 2003, was also named honorable mention All-American for the state of South Dakota by the South Dakota Cross Country and Track Association during 2004.
