St. Patrick’s to celebrate 100th anniversary June 26

St. Patrick's to celebrate 100th anniversary June 26 St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wakonda will celebrate its 100th anniversary June 26-27.

The festivities will begin with an open house on Saturday, June 26 from 2 to 7 p.m. The Altar Society will be serving taverns beginning at 4 p.m.

Bishop Robert Carlson, along with many former priests will be present at the Mass on Sunday at 3 p.m. A program and catered meal will follow.

Tickets for the meal may be purchased by contacting Dorothy Logue at 605-267-2599 (home) or 605-267-2676 (rectory). Tickets must be purchased no later than June 13. Adult tickets are $10 and children are $5.

History books, cookbooks and other memorabilia may be purchased at the Fr. McMahon Hall during the festivities.
