Summer programs at Mount Rushmore Superintendent Gerard Baker has announced the full summer program schedule for Mount Rushmore National Memorial will take effect beginning June 6.
The Lincoln Borglum Museum and the information center are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at the memorial. Park rangers and staff at each location are available to assist visitors and offer guidance on visiting the memorial and the Black Hills. Bookstores within each building are operated by the non-profit Mount Rushmore History Association and will remain open through the same times, for the purchase of educational and informative items.
The Evening Lighting Ceremony will be held each evening at 9 p.m. in the amphitheater. The historic Sculptor's Studio will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily. Ranger talks at the studio and guided walks on the Presidential Trail will be presented throughout the day. This schedule will remain in effect through August.
The Xanterra Concession operates a concession on site that includes the Buffalo Dining Room.
, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a gift shop, open from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
