Heritage Days sports planned Whether you bike, walk or run, there is an event you can participate in at the Heritage Days celebration in Elk Point. On Saturday, Aug. 21, the Lions Club will host a pancake/ sausage breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
A 5 and 10K fun walk and run will start from the National Guard Armory at 8 a.m., followed by a bike ride, featuring five different lengths up to 50+ miles, all on blacktop.

Heritage Days celebrates the Lewis and Clark expedition in 1805, and continues through Sunday, Aug. 22, with a rendezvous, many booths and the re-enactment of the election of Patrick Gass, and the Corps of Discovery. For a full schedule of the weekend's events call (605) 356-3336.
