Schoh named director of athletics at Wayne State Eric Schoh, associate athletic director for development at California State University, Bakersfield, has been named director of athletics at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. He replaces Todd Barry, who resigned this spring.
Schoh, who has been at Bakersfield since 2002, was associate director of athletics at The University of South Dakota from 1998-2002. He was regional director of D.D. Marketing, Inc. in Pueblo, CO from 1997-1998, and assistant director of athletics at Montana State University in Billings from 1995-1997. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications and a master's degree in education, both from Iowa State University.
"Eric brings a wealth of experience in athletic administration and fundraising that will serve us well," said Dr. Richard Collings, Wayne State president. "We welcome Eric and his family back to the Midwest to join the Wayne State community."
"I am very excited about this opportunity, and would like to thank Curt Frye, Dr. Collings and the search committee for having the confidence in me to lead Wildcat athletics," said Schoh. "My family and I can't wait to get started."
Schoh is a native of LaCrescent, MN. He and his wife Stephanie are the parents of three children: Paige, 13; Eric, 9; and Tyler, 8. Schoh will begin his duties at Wayne State on Aug. 2.
Wayne State College, a regional, public college located in northeast Nebraska, is a member of the Nebraska State College System.
