Swim team competes in Yankton Invitational The Vermillion Area Swim Team opened the season at the Yankton Invitational June 25-27.

Team results:

Elly Miiller (9-10) � 50 free 25th; 50 back 27th.

Stacie Kjelden (11-12) � 50 back second; 50 free fourth; 200IM fourth; 100 free sixth; 200 free sixth; 100 back sixth; 50 fly seventh; 50 breast eighth.

Bailey Pons (11-12) � 100 free first; 200 free first; 400 free first; 100 back first; 200 IM first; 200 fly first; 50 free second; 100 breast second.

Karissa Martin (13-14) � 1500 free first; 50 free second; 100 back second; 200 back third; 200 IM third; 100 free fourth; 800 free fourth; 200 breast sixth; 100 fly seventh; 100 breast eighth.

Erin Rasmussen (13-14) � 100 free second; 800 free second; 400 free third; 200 back fifth; 100 fly sixth.

Sarah Rasmussen (15-16) � 800 free fifth; 400 free seventh; 100 breast eighth; 200 back 10th; 100 free 12th.

The team will be in action again at the Dolphin Invitational July 10-11 in South Sioux City, NE.
