Zak new human resource director at USD Diane S. Zak is the new director of human resources at The University of South Dakota. She replaces outgoing Director of Human Resources Karon Fuller, who served USD for 35 years before retiring this year.
Zak received her bachelor of arts degree in human resources management from Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, MN, and in 1994, attained a lifetime certification as a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society of Human Resources Management.��
Before joining USD, Zak spent five years as a vice president of human resources for Midcom Inc., a privately owned electronics firm in Watertown, supporting their global manufacturing operations.
In 2001, she was instrumental in staffing a turnkey manufacturing operation in the People's Republic of China and a sales office and warehouse in Hong Kong.����
Previously, Zak spent four years as director of human resources for Supervalu Inc., in Easton, PA, and 15 years supporting the human resources and information systems departments for The Toro Company.
