Chamber hosts golf social by Jim Prosser The Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce & Development Company hosted its annual Chamber Day Golf Social on Tuesday, Aug. 17 at The Bluffs.
Thirty-one teams played a four-person Texas Scramble tournament. Each hole was sponsored by various businesses who furnished prizes ranging from sleeves of golfballs, jackets, caps, and travel mugs, up to hole-in-one awards of $5,000, travel trips and sets of golf clubs.
A dinner culminated the day's activities with awards presented for the flag prizes and the following team winners:
First Flight: 1. Broadcaster (53); 2. AAATravel/Dr. Fixit (58); 3. Brunick Furniture (59).
Second Flight: 1. USD (64); 2. Pro's (64); 3. Century 21 (65).
Third Flight: 1. Polaris (70); 2. Clay Union (71); and 3. Cleland's Clubbers.
