City council will work on budget The Vermillion City Council will continue work on the 2004 city budget at its regular meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16 in the city hall council chambers.
Aldermen will hear funding requests from Vermillion Public Transit, the Senior Citizens Center, the W.H. Over Museum, the National Music Museum, the VDC/Chamber of Commerce and USD Admissions.
The city council is also scheduled to consider authorizing a letter of intent to renew a lease agreement to Gregg and Nicole Peters for retail space for the municipal liquor store.
Aldermen will also take action on a resolution to move regular city council meetings to the Al Neuharth Media Center.
Other agenda items include the declaring of an aerial basket truck and one ton dump truck as surplus property, the city manager's report, and an executive session to discuss personnel.
