FSA Notes by Keith ZAnter Reminders Before

Harvest and LDP/Loan Season Begins:

"LDP's are working" on some crops and it appears that they will on corn and possible soybeans at harvest.

Today, there is a 16 cent LDP on spring wheat and the PCP for corn and soybeans is only 4 and 80 cents over loan rate, respectively. Therefore, please remember to watch the prices as we approach harvest time.

With the decline in prices, the office encourages all participants receiving a share in the crop to file a CCC-709 "Field Direct" form prior to harvest to eliminate any problems.

Remember: The "Field Direct" CCC-709 forms must be signed and in the office before harvest begins. These forms cover grain hauled directly to the elevator from the field. Operators please check with your owners to make sure they have completed and returned their 709's.
