Kjose promoted by Clay-Union Electric Clay-Union Electric is pleased to announce that effective Sept. 20, Mike Kjose began duties as the services and marketing director for the cooperative.
The position is a key staff position within the organization being responsible for member and public education and information programs, energy consulting with members, developing and coordinating member service programs, and administering cooperative marketing programs.
The position also plays a major role in the ongoing DIRECTV Satellite television program.
Kjose began his employment with Clay-Union Electric in January 1976, as an apprentice lineman. Since that time he has continued to apply his skills being promoted to journeyman lineman and subsequently to lead lineman, the position he currently held prior to this promotion. Before coming to Clay-Union Electric, he was employed at Nebraska Public Power District in Nebraska.
Kjose's wife, Jill, is currently an outpatient coordinator at Sioux Valley Hospital. The couple have two daughters. Elly, 21, is a senior at the University of Kansas and is majoring
in sports medicine/athletic trainer, and Sarah, 13, is an eighth-grader at Vermillion Middle School.
In taking over the duties of the member services and marketing director, Kjose brings a great array of skills to deal with the many and varied tasks contained in the job description. In addition, his years of service with Clay-Union Electric in the operations department gives him a valuable understanding of the mission and challenge of providing service excellence to the members of Clay-Union Electric.
