Miiller family to ride in St. Jude Wheels-for-Life Alan Miiller, his wife, Tanna their daughter Audry and her sister Elly have shined up their bikes to ride to Burbank Sept. 19 for a worthy cause, to save a child's life from cancer.
Participants will register at Jolley School from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Forms are available in the public schools.
The ride is done in memory of all children afflicted with cancer. Dexter Johnson, a sixth- grade student who lost his life to cancer last year, will be remembered.
A plaque in Dexter's memory will be presented to the Johnson family before the ride begins. A silver plaque in his memory now graces the tribute wall at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Event Coordinator Mary Geffre Johnson says the goal for this year is $3,500. Please be generous when asked to give.
