The Bluffs Bulletin Board Men's league playoff results
Here are the Men's League playoff results of the third round eliminations played Sept. 9.
The divisions are now two flights � Red and Blue.
Individual best scores, under 40, were Bill Willroth(36), and Mike Wettstein, Don Harris, Don Scheidel, and Clark Lewison � 39 each.
The Red Flight found #1 seed West Side Inn defeated by #5 First National 17.5-5.5; #10 Bogey+ won over #3 HyVee in a close match 12.5-10.5.
The Blue Flight had #1 Bluffs Boys winning over Recuerdo's/Miller Lite 15-8; #7 PIK did the same over #6 Serioius Six 14-9.
Fourth round playoffs were on Sept. 16 with tee times at 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. or arranged by the league officers or their representatives. Pairings were: Bluffs Boys vs PIK & First National vs Bogey +.
A very interesting day started our cloudy and misty. In an hour-and-a-half time, blue skies. It's fun watching the weather change and make the Bluffs show up better.
Jan Uhl and Helen Brown has charge of golf on Sept. 15. There were 14 players and the game was guess your score before playing and at the end of the round you are to throw out your worst score.
Winners were Helen Brown and Lynne Hatle who only missed by one point. Pat Stecklberg, Jo Anne Beringer and Fritz Lefler missed by two points.
Cherry Street Grille served 36 ladies chicken caesar salad. Peg Mollet, Edith Nelson and Thelma Raines furnish a variety of bars.
Jeanne Van Balen and Pat Stecklberg chaired the meeting and sent a sheet around for members to sign up for next years.
Five dollars went to Jan Uhl and Cyndia Chaney wasn't present for the next $5 so it will be added to next week's drawing.
Mary Bartels again read us a couple jokes. Wonder if she's trying to see who is awake!
Bridge � 16 players at four tables. Winners: Sign up � Arlene DeVaney, first � Lorraine Brunick, second � Jan Uhl. Closest to guess her score was Arlene DeVaney. Traveling prize went to Mary Lea Hennies.
Mary Bartels had charge of the dominoes, with 13 players. High scorers were Eileen Turner and Judy Gregoire.
Pat Pratt and Pat Stecklberg won the blink bogie.
