Clubs District president auxiliary guest
The regular meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Clay Post #3061 was held Tuesday eve-ning, Sept. 21, with President Elizabeth Fiedler presiding. Gladys Mollet, our district president was present to visit our meeting. Roll call of officers was taken and recorded. Chaplain Opal Smith offered the opening prayer. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Motion made/seconded to approve treasurer's re- ports for June, July and August as printed. Our women played Bingo and served lunch at the Vermillion Care Center for the past three months. It was noted that our national president will be in Sioux Falls on Oct. 2 and 3. Our auxiliary provided tray favors on July 4 for the Vermillion Care Center. Getting out the Vote and Patriots Pen contest will be chaired by our Americanism chairman. Poppy Day will be observed in November by our auxiliary. Reports were given by the following chairmen: Hospital, Civic Council, Hospice, Road to Recovery, Meals on Wheels, Hospital Equipment on Loan and Games presented to the Human Services Center at Yankton. Our pillow cleaning date will be Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The charter was draped for Irene Towner and Ruth Renschler. Elizabeth Fielder was presented her past president pin. Meeting adjourned to reopen again on Oct. 19.
