Coronary artery disease topic of On Call Oct. 10 The Oct. 10 edition of On Call deals with coronary artery disease.
"Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women. We'll tell patients some warning signs to look for, and we'll give them important tips for preventing this disease," said On Call producer and host Lindsey Meyers.
"We'll introduce you to a patient and show you how she's working to treat her coronary heart disease. And we'll show you what's involved in putting in a coronary stent."
Meyers and On Call medical editor Dr. Rick Holm will discuss the issues with guest Dr. James Reynolds from the North Central Heart Institute.
The program is broadcast at 4:30 p.m. central on South Dakota Public Television. On Call is the only medical program endorsed by the South Dakota State Medical Association and the South Dakota Department of Health.
