Coyotes' 10-game soccer win streak halted The South Dakota women's soccer team suffered their first conference setback of the season, 2-0, at the hands of the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks at the USD Soccer Field Oct. 17.

The loss snapped the Coyotes 10-game winning streak.

After a scoreless first half, UNO's Brandie Beale scored the Mavericks first goal. Her goal was assisted by Brytten Kraft and Beth McGill.

McGill then put the ball in the upper right corner of the net, past Coyote goalie Candice Martinez (Aurora, CO), off a free kick.

UNO outshot USD, 15-7, and had the advantage in corner kicks, 8-3.

Next up for USDa, is a non-conference match against the College of St. Mary on Oct. 20.

at the USD Soccer Field. The match is set for 4 p.m.

USD wraps up the regular season, at home on Sunday, Oct. 24 against North Dakota at 1 p.m.
