Focus looks at food tax issue In only a few short weeks, voters will head to the polls to decide whether or not to keep a sales tax on food in South Dakota.
On Thursday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m., South Dakota Public Broadcasting's South Dakota Focus will look at both sides of this much talked about ballot initiative.
Guests will include Gov. Mike Rounds, who introduced the South Dakota Sales Tax on Food Refund Program during the last legislative session; Yvonne Taylor, executive director of the South Dakota Municipal League; Sen. Paul Symens (Amherst) and Renold Nesiba, professor of economics with Augustana College. The program will be rebroadcast on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m.
