Highway Patrol checkpoints slated

Highway Patrol checkpoints slated South Dakota Highway Patrol will be holding a sobriety checkpoint through Oct. 9 in Clay County.

In addition to detecting alcohol or drug impaired drivers, law enforcement officers make use of the sobriety checkpoints to remind the motoring public of the dangers of drinking and driving.
