They were honored at a banquet held Oct. 11 in Sioux Falls.
Hy-Vee's Service Awards program, now in its 40th year, recognizes employees for continuous service to the company. At a series of seven banquets held throughout Hy-Vee's seven-state area, the company pays tribute to employees reaching service milestones ranging from five to 45 years. More than 225 of those honored this year are celebrating anniversaries of 25 years or more with the company.
Employees celebrating service anniversaries receive customized gifts that increase in value as the years of service increase. In addition, their photos are published in a special souvenir book distributed to all 47,000 Hy-Vee associates.
Recipients also receive personal congratulations from Hy-Vee Chairman Ron Pearson and CEO Ric Jurgens, who posed for a commemorative photo with each Service Award recipient.
"Hy-Vee had another outstanding year in 2004, thanks to the talent and dedication of our employees and the support of our customers," Jurgens said. "Every year, we look forward to honoring the people who reach milestones in their careers with Hy-Vee, because they are the ones who set great examples of leadership and customer care."
