Library schedules book signing The Vermillion Public Library will hold a book signing on Sunday, Oct. 17, with Stephen K. Ward, author of Women and Wine: The Making of the Vermillion Public Library in an Man's World 1903-2003.
The book was published earlier this year and was written in celebration of the library's 100th anniversary.
Ward is a 1985 graduate of Vermillion High School and holds a master's degree in history from The University of South Dakota. He has also attended DePauw University in Greencastle, IN, and American University in Washington, and taught American history at Wayne State College and Northeast Community College. Ward currently works as assistant director for academic advising and the First Year Experience at USD.
The book signing will begin at 2 p.m. in the South Dakota Room of the Vermillion Public Library, located at 18 Church Street. Books are available to purchase for $8.95. For more information, contact the library at 677-7060.
