Seventh-graders maintain momentum with big win by Jim Prosser The seventh-grade football team continued its winning ways with a 46-16 trouncing of Canton on Tuesday, Oct. 5. The victory brought their season record to 4-0.
The game included a multiple individual offensive display which netted 350 yards total, and a rugged team defense (60 tackles, 2 QB sacks, and 2 interceptions).
Scoring for the young Tanagers: Nick Mart � 1 TD (48-yard run); Kylen Freidel � 1 TD (52-yard punt return), a 2-point conversion on pass from Jordan Robinson; Tanner Mart � 2 TDs (48 and 55 yard runs); Chris Mart � 1 yard TD run; Bennet Johnson � 3-yard TD run.
Defense: Nick Mart � 4 tackles, 1 QB sack; Tanner Mart � 4 Ts; Chris Mart, Ben Knutson and Garrett Smith-Keller � 2 Ts each; Jason Rasmussen and Sam Miller each intercepted a pass; and Tim Taggart recorded a QB sack.
