South Dakota soccer travels to Minnesota State Oct. 9 The South Dakota women's soccer team (11-2-0, 2-0 NCC) will look to take sole possession of the first place in the North Central Conference, when they visit Minnesota State (9-3, 2-0 NCC) on Saturday, Oct. 9, in Mankato, MN.
The Coyotes, who are ranked seventh in the NSCAA/Adidas Central Regional rankings, are riding a school-record eight-game winning streak and haven't lost since Sept. 11, when they fell to Emporia State, 2-0.
The Mavericks are tied with the Coyotes atop the NCC standings at 2-0 in league play. MSU has knocked off Augustana (4-1) and North Dakota (2-0). MSU is ranked fourth in the NSCAA/Adidas Central Region.
As a team, the Mavericks have scored 26 goals and have 14 assists. They have outshot their opponents, 212-112. Of their 212 shots, 124 have been on goal.
