Tanager boys' golf team wins dual season finale by Jim Prosser The Tanager golf team ended its regular season with a 168-186 win over the West Central Trojans at The Bluffs on Friday, Oct. 1.

The nine-hole contest included the varsity and JV teams. All 16 roster members participated.

"This is a good tune-up for the varsity as preparation for state," said coach Kirk Hogen. "It also gives the junior varsity members a chance to compete in their final match."

Individual scores for the Tanagers were: Alex Schaack � 39 (medalist); Jordan Boots � 41; Brad Schaack � 43; Broc Gauer � 45; and Chris Moen � 47.

The Vermillion "A" JV team defeated Lennox West Central's "A" JV 177-210. Leading the team was Mikal Ustad at 42. He was followed closely by Ryan Powell, 43; Aaron Steele, 44; Charles Odson, 48; Eric Ustad, 50; and Darren Martin had a 58.

The remaining JV scores were: Dan Davies, 54; Cole Andre, 55; Tyler Vlassman, 70; Jimmy Lai, 75; and Anthony Nelson, 80.
