The Bluffs Bulletin Board Senior golfers enjoy fine day
The seniors woke to clouds Oct. 19 hoping the sun would shine. Shine it did, and a great day for golf resulted. A par round eluded our best efforts so we congratulate our winners, Sid Davis, Jim Grabowski, Bob Lund and Don Baer for a fine score of 37, low for the day and one over par.
Other prize winners were at 38: Vern Holter, Pete Berglund and Howard Connors and the team of Mo Marcotte, Lloyd Helseth and Cal Petersen. Next at 39 were the teams of Harlan Schott, Dick Munkvold, Joe Conroy and Louie Fostvedt along with Turk Pilker, Jack Doyle and Maurice Erickson.
The seniors had six birdies on the day and our shot of the day nominees are Bob Lund for a 60-foot chip for birdie on #18, Quentin Oleson for a 32-foot birdie putt on #12, and Jim Reed for his 35-foot par putt on #17. We congratulate these senior regulars for fine shots.
Thirty-three seniors enjoyed a fine day on the back nine of our fine Bluffs course. Plan for another fine day of golf next Tuesday, Oct. 26, with golf at 1 p.m.
