"While we showed moments of greatness, illness, injury, and an inconsistent game plagued the team," said coach Lennie Billberg. "Bright moments came in the Parkston match with Melissa's thundering smash off of an opponent's forehead, Melaney Porter's first front line action of her career, which was brilliant, and Heather's great serves with four aces. Against Elk Point, our depleted lineup struggled valiantly, but fell short of victory. Our final match with the Ladybirds from Lennox, where there were many ups and downs, we finally prevailed. Serving and blocking continue to be our strength."
