Blue named PRIDE employee for October Cassie Blue, CNA and laundry, was selected as the Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center (SVVMC) October 2004 PRIDE Employee of the Month. Blue has been employed at Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center since June 2003.
"Cassie is very caring to the residents and co-workers. When she is in laundry and sees that we need help (in the care center), she will pitch right in. Cassie is always cheerful; an all around good person. She's always smiling and a joy to be around. Cassie is an excellent worker who really goes the extra mile and really puts the 'E' in effort. Rock on Cassie!"
These comments were shared in employee of the month nominations for Blue.
"Cassie possesses a strong work ethic and a caring nature. Her dedication to our residents and to her co-workers contribute strongly to the reason that she has been awarded this honor. Her positive attitude and willingness to pitch in to help wherever needed makes Cassie a true asset to our team," said Barb Kingsbury, director of Environmental Services at Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center.
"Cassie is always smiling and willing to help out when needed. She goes out of her way to help other departments when she has time," said Amy Thiesse, director of nursing at Sioux Valley Vermillion Care Center.
Blue is a part-time student at The University of South Dakota, studying geology. She is a native of Montrose, and resides in Vermillion.
