Country Gals & Guys meet Nov. 8 The regular meeting of the Country Gals and Guys was called to order at 7:16 p.m. Nov. 8. The roll call topic was Halloween. Members present were: Stacey Joy, Amber Walker, Sarah Droegemeier and Elly Melby.
On the program for the meeting was one of our leaders, Iris Rydell; demonstration and election of officers.
The treasurer's report was read and minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
Iris demonstrated how to make "cookie turkeys." Each member made cookie turkeys. A plate of these decorations was given to the office staff at the 4-H building. Also, as a child development project, Iris demonstrated how to make play dough. The Country Gals donated 12 bags of play dough to the Trinity Lutheran Preschool.
Upon completion of the demonstrations, election of officers was conducted. The following members were elected to serve as officers. Michelle Rydell, president; Stacey Joy, vice president; Amber Walker and Elly Melby, secretary/reporter; Sarah Droegemeier, pledge leader; Iris Rydell, treasurer.
The Country Gals donated a box of food products to the Food Pantry.
The next meeting of the Country Gals and Guys will be Monday, Dec. 20 at the Walker residence. This will be our Christmas meeting. Each member volunteered to bring a food item for the the meeting.
