Local companies prepare to launch graduation showcase Four local companies are making final preparations to provide the means for parents to help their sons or daughters get some of their graduation must-haves taken care of in just one afternoon.
Dove House Productions, Inc. in conjunction with Hy-Vee Food Store, Jones' Food Center with Cakes by Monica and Peterman Photography, have invited over 700 seniors and others in the tri-state area to attend Graduation Showcase on Sunday Nov. 7, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the W. H. Over Museum in Vermillion.
Laurie Fritsch, president of Dove House Productions, Inc., Vermillion, and organizer of this event, said, "This is the perfect opportunity for parents to accompany their son or daughter while they begin to prepare for their graduation celebration. It's a good time to get some of these things out of the way before next spring just prior to graduation.
"Since my husband and I started our business in 2002, parents have especially challenged me to come up with competitively priced graduation products and services to give seniors an alternative choice to some of the other products already on the market. And Carlson Craft's custom grad line really fits this niche."
Convenience is also much appreciated by busy parents and students who are in the midst of getting ready for this special occasion. As a result, the support of vendors who provide catering services, in addition to photography, will be on hand to help families meet their graduation needs in one place the same day.
