MADD will meet Nov. 9 The Clay County chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will be meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m., in the Vermillion Fire/EMS Station at the intersection of E. Duke Street and N. Dakota Street.
This is the regularly scheduled meeting for the second Tuesday of each month.
Dr. Charles Yelverton, a Vermillion physician, will be the speaker for the evening. Dr. Yelverton will share his experiences as an emergency room physician treating persons with alcohol poisoning, as well as those injured from drunk driving accidents.
All interested persons are invited to attend, membership is not required. For those wishing to join, simply complete a membership form at the meeting; no dues or fees are required.
MADD Clay County would also like to announce their new Web site that is currently under construction at www.madd.org/sd/clay.
MADD's mission is to educate the public, stop drunk driving, support victims and prevent underage drinking. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about MADD and how they can make a difference in their community.
