The Bluffs Bulletin Board Seniors enjoy cool day
On a cool, windy Tuesday, Nov. 9, 28 seniors appeared for a good game of golf on the bottom nine of The Bluffs.
A total of nine birdies was indicative of good golf. Low teams came in with 35s. Leading with a tie breaker was the team of Harlan Schott, Dennis Iverson and Berwyn Svoboda followed closely by Bob Boone, Bob Lund and Don Baer. Next at 36 was the team of Dave Bak, his friend from Irene, Bob Satter and Jack Stewart.
Finally at 38 were Ken Beringer, Vern Holter and Quentin Oleson followed by Ross King, Maurice Erickson, Dick Gregory and Don Bensen.
Two great shots were turned in for recognition as shots-of-the-day, Harlan Schott put in a 51-foot putt for a birdie on #16, and Ken Beringer sank a 45-foot putt for a birdie on #17.
Golf will continue at the same time next week if the weather holds.
