Events celebrate King

Events celebrate King Erasing racism is the aim of several upcoming events at The University of South Dakota.

The events aim to celebrate the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On Jan. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Farber Hall, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee will present a forum titled "Becoming Culturally Competent Means Deleting Isms@USD.com." Then, on Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. the Mount Zion Gospel Choir invites everyone to the Wayne S. Knutson Theater for an evening of song and celebration.

Finally, on Feb. 2 at 4 p.m., the Mixed Blood Theatre Group will present "Black Eagle," a humorous look at Dr. Ronald McNair, the African American scientist aboard the ill-fated space shuttle, Challenger.
