Roger H. Davies, 77, of Milton, IA, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 at Bloomfield Care Center, Bloomfield, IA.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; two sons, Chris (Cindy) of Brighton, IA, and Thomas (Karen) of Vermillion; and five grandchildren, Scott, Tom, Lindsey, Daniel and Desiree Davies.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bloomfield, with Pastor Nancy Pick officiating. Interment with military honors will be in BluffView Cemetery, Vermillion, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22.
Anne Marie Delashmutt, 79, Onawa, IA, died Jan. 17, 2005 at Burgess Health Center, Onawa.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, with Pastor John Noer officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at Blencoe, IA. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa.
Mrs. Delashmutt was born March 20, 1925 at Vermillion, the daughter of Fritz and Esther (Siljenberg) Helstrom. She was raised in Vermillion and graduated from Vermillion High School. The family moved to Portland, OR, where she was a welder for Portland Ship Yards.
She married Van Roland "Dude" Delashmutt Sept. 27, 1944 in San Francisco, CA. The couple made their home in the Blencoe area. Mrs. Delashmutt was a waitress at Frog Pond in Turin, IA. In 1985, she received an associate degree in business and a bachelor of arts degree in accounting at Buena Vista College in Council Bluffs, IA. Her husband passed away July 11, 1999 in Whiting, IA.
She was a member and past treasurer of Blencoe United Church of Christ and Women's Fellowship; a member and past treasurer of Stevens Kelley Post #665 American Legion Auxiliary and Book Club. She was a volunteer at Pleasant View Care Center, Burgess Memorial Hospital and Act II.
Survivors include children, Dean and his wife, Carolyn Delashmutt of Sioux Falls, Van O'Dell "Archie" Delashmutt and Deb Beechy of Blencoe, Lynn and her husband Wally Hamann of Sioux City, IA, Gary and his wife Laura Delashmutt of LeMars, IA; grandchildren, Lorette Anne Weimann of Sioux Falls, Aaron Van and his wife Amy Delashmutt of Boone, IA, Van-Wade Delashmutt and his fianc� Erin Gray of Blencoe, Joshua Tate and his wife Minda Hamann of Iowa City, IA, Amanda Delashmutt and her fianc� Troy Beitelspacher of LeMars, and Joseph and Brooke Delashmutt of LeMars; great-grandchildren, Stephen and Scott Weimann and Madison Delashmutt; and a sister, Edith Lutzen of Rolla, MO.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Herbert Helstrom.
