Check It Out DearReader.com Book Club
The DearReader.com Book Club offers many selections to Internet patrons. Each book will run five days (Monday-Friday), with a new book starting on Monday and some of the genre offer selections every other week. Help us celebrate Literacy Day at the library. The National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association, USD Chapter, is sponsoring an afternoon of reading, crafts, snacks, and prizes for children in kindergarten through fifth grade on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 1 to 3 in the Community Room.
VITA will return to the Vermillion Public Library this month. Starting on Feb. 14 and running through April 14 the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will be scheduled for Monday and Thursday nights from 6 to 8 in the Community Room. Bring you 2004 tax information and if possible, last year's tax return when you come. Call the library for more information or to see if you qualify during the scheduled times at 677-7060.
The next Book Club is planned for Thursday night, Feb. 24. More information will be available soon.
Join the library staff at the annual Library Sleepover starting on Friday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. and ending on Saturday morning, Feb. 26 at 9. Children in third through fifth grade are invited to attend. Participants will enjoy reading, playing games, watching movies, having a snack and breakfast, and this year, creating a personalized tie-died T-shirt. Reservations and signed permission slips are required. Please stop by the library to pick up the permission slips or for more information, call Kristen Monroe at 677-7060.
