Grain marketing clinic is March 1 A grain marketing and profitability clinic is set for Tuesday, March 1, in Alcester. It starts at 1 p.m. and will end about 3:30 p.m. at Arlene's Sunny Side Caf�. The program is free and is open to any interested crop producers.
The State Bank of Alcester is sponsoring a lunch at 12:30 p.m. at Arlene's before the program.
Union County Farm Management/Marketing Extension Educator Zach Rada will discuss corn and soybean budgets including inputs and calculating cost of production. Bon Homme County Agronomy Extension Educator Steve Sutera and Clay County Agronomy Extension Educator April Borders will discuss crop inputs on the agronomy side. SDSU Grain Marketing Specialist Alan May will talk about crop insurance as a part of marketing plans.
